Surrey Plumbing Solutions are a family run, Warlingham village based business which is owned and run by Lee Ekins.
Lee has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry and is qualified not only to advanced craft level, but has also completed his Higher National Certificate in Building Services Engineering. More recently he has also completed courses for Honeywell and Veissman.
We offer the full range of plumbing and heating services, everything from a complete bathroom installation to a dripping tap, a new boiler to a leaking radiator.
Additionally we provide a power flushing service and are members of the power flush association.

What is the best combi boiler?
This is such a difficult question to answer as so many factors come into play. The size of the property, number of radiators, number of bathrooms and how many people would impact on your choice. Budget comes into play too. In many ways choosing a boiler is like choosing a car, lots of brands, and types, with the internet now it's pretty simple to read reviews and research warranties. The market leaders tend to be the leaders for a reason, the likes of Ideal and Worcester offer long warranties, but relative newcomers like Intergas have produced boilers with fewer moving parts that could be seen as an advantage. Like so many things in life, you do get what you pay for, and the real budget options are cheaper because warranties may not be as good, or parts more expensive or harder to source.
What are the benefits of installing an unvented cylinder?
A real advantage of an unvented cylinder is that it enables the hot and cold to be of equal pressure, which is beneficial for any thing that uses mixed water, i.e. Shower valves and mixer taps. Also it removes the need to have tanks and stored water in lofts etc. There are no restraints on where cylinders are located as they come off the water main and don't require gravity to assist.
How to unclog / unblock a shower drain with standing water?
If you find the shower tray full of water, the first thing to try would be a rubber plunger. You would need to remove the cover of the shower waste (if there is one) and work the plunger vigorously and this should dislodge any sludge/blockages. If that fails then you may have to call in an expert who may have to inspect drainage pipework.
