By becoming a member / user of Expert Trades you allow us to store your contact details. You consent to be contacted via E-Mail, phone call or text message.
8. Suspended / Termination of Trade Member Accounts:
Expert Trades reserves the right to Suspend or terminate any Trade Member profile at our own discretion. A Trade Member profile may be placed under review at the discretion of Expert Trades during which time the profile may be removed from the Website and blocked from using any Service.
A Trade Member whose account is under review or has been terminated may not sign up under a different E-Mail, Company Name or Trading Name. We reserve the right to terminate any associated accounts that we believe are related to a previously terminated Trade Member without notice to you. An account that has been terminated will not be removed from the website, but all contact details for that profile will be removed along with any content within the profile (documents, images, qualifications) and this will be replaced with the following text: “This account has been terminated by the team at Expert Trades. Please click here to be taken to our search page so you can find another trade to help you with your project.”
9. Review Process:
Once a review is added to a Trade Member profile, a notification will be sent to their inbox for confirmation. This notification will only provide enough information to confirm that the Trade Member worked on the project to which the review relates, it will not show the scoring or feedback within the review. Below are the three review statuses that we use and how they work.
Accepted:
A review accepted by the Trade Member is added to that member’s public profile. A review will not be removed on the grounds of negative content. In the case a trade accepts a review for work they then claim they did not do then the review will be placed into pending. During this time the homeowner who had the work completed will be asked to provide a receipt for works undertaken and given 21 days to do so. If a receipt is received the review will be restored to the Trade Member’s profile and will not be removed. If no receipt is received then the review will be archived and will not show on the Member’s profile.
Pending:
If a review is neither accepted nor declined, the Trade Member will be contacted via e-mail after 7 days and again 14 days, they will also be contacted via text. If no response has been received after 21 days the review will go live on the Trade Member’s profile. A trade may contend a review that has been applied to their account after this 21 day period by contacting our team directly on reviews@experttrades.com.
Declined:
When a Trade Member declines a review, an e-mail will be sent to the person who submitted that review. If the reviewer replies with proof of works (proof of works may include an invoice, a certificate or any other document that clearly shows work has taken place) within 21 days then the review is made public on the trades profile automatically.
Expert Trades will not remove a negative review from any Trade Members Claimed account unless we believe this review to be fraudulent. In this case we will investigate the review and we reserve the right to deal with this at our own discretion.
Reviews are owned by the Trade, and may be used in adverts to promote that Trade member or Expert Trades as an entity.
