Scottie fitted the work in around a new kitchen being installed and worked hard so there were no holdups. The boiler installation is so tidy it’s a shame in in a cubard. I arranged the work for my granddaughter who is so pleased with the work Scottie did we would both highly recommend SAFGas to anyone needing the services of a professional gas fitters.

We had our boiler serviced by SAF Gas as we were concerned that previous services were not being carried out properly. Fran did the service and was an absolute pleasure! She was so efficient and worked away so quietly that I hardly knew she was there. She had to go to a great deal of effort removing a cupboard door, shelving and a power socket just to access the boiler panel, something that our previous service engineer had never done. She explained everything she was doing and left everything spotless when she finished. We couldn't be more pleased with the service and would highly recommend SAF Gas to others who want a thorough and professional job doing.

What are the benefits of installing a smart thermostat?
Smart thermostat can mean 2 things. Smart as in its learns the pattern of your requirements, like a Nest learning thermostat or smart because it can be used off a smart device!!!!! There is only a couple of true Smart learning thermostats I know, Nest & Genius Hub. Therefore I think the term 'Smart Thermostat' refers to being able to use it from your phone or Smart device. In my opinion there is no 'best' smart thermostat if just simply on/off. If we were to ask what is the best thermostat protocol, then I would be saying Open Therm is the best over weather compensation, optimum start or load compensation etc etc. So in a nutshell it not the stat but the protocol that makes the system more efficient in my opinion!!............
What is the best combi boiler?
All boilers do the same thing pretty much in line with what my car does compared to your car!! There are many other reasons not to do with the actual boiler (or car) that we choose what we choose. Price Reliability Warranty/Guarantee length After sales support Cost of spare parts Cost of repairs For us personally, after over 10 years of self employment, we have installed, tried & tested most boilers - we repair any boiler also - so we have settled for a consistent installation of Worcester Bosch as they have stood the test of time from every angle from all if that above & more for us....
What are the benefits of installing an unvented cylinder?
To provide plenty of hot water to a property usually with more than one shower or bath running at one time. The new unvented cylinders also provide the hot water at the higher mains water pressure rather than the lower pressure of the old open vented systems of old. They are also insulated better nowadays so the heat loss is less meaning the hot water is hotter in there for longer. There are various different sizes in volume so they can be sized according to the house size & hot water demand.
