Without a doubt. The power consumption from one of these can be great and the element within will be used well during its time. Its critical to get them checked electrically for sound connections, signs of overheating and correct operation of controls. Just like a normal Gas or oil boiler, electric boilers require servicing. They will come with safety devices etc, connected to the system ,and thermal cut outs that should be tested on an annual basis. Your appliance will come with a warranty and this service is a requirement to keep it.

As with any important appliance that is used in any household, it is advisable to get it serviced annually to check it is working safely & efficiently. For any new installations, the appliance will come with a warranty or guarantee so having it serviced will also ensure this is maintained with the manufacturer so it can be still relyed upon in the unfortunate circumstance it is needed.

Electric boilers are recommended by the manufacturers to have a maintenance service on a yearly basis, this would also keep your boiler warranty active. Although electric boilers do not produce harmful gases, here at BoilerOne we recommend that you have your electric boiler and heating system checked regularly.

Electric system boilers like the EHC comet range do contain in built filters that will require checking and cleaning on a regular basis, it is also prudent to top up any chemical inhibitor in your heating system water and check expansion vessels and safety valves are operating correctly. We would recommend this on a annual basis.. Rob Nicholas (&Co)

There is no need for an annual safety check. Landlords who have gas or oil appliances must have them checked annually to make sure there not emitting harmful gasses. As there are no emissions from an electric boiler there no need for an annual check. There is also no legal requirement to have the appliance serviced annually but check with manufacturer as you could invalidate any warranty.
