How long do boilers last?
A modern condensing boiler will last as long as how well it has been put in and to what standard of maintenance it has had every year . Id be expecting new boilers to last anything between 5-15 years , with many factors involved in that . Mainly the length of the warranty , longer the warranty the longer it will last . If we have a boiler that has a short warranty and a part fails in it , depending on the part price the customer may prefer to have a boiler replacement and go for a longer warranty product then .
What is an LPG boiler? How do they work?
In the same way as a natural gas boiler , the main difference is the fuel that they burn . It will be supplied from a set of cylinders that are a bank of 2-4 or a bulk tank which can be either above or below ground . In regards to boiler difference , some boilers are able to adapt by changing parameters in the main pcb ( brains ) , some require a injector and or gas valve change . There is also some different gas safety regulations in natural gas to lpg .
What are the common causes of blocked drains?
Most common internal drainage blockage i attend to is wet wipes , nappies are more common than you think also . it says on the packaging to not flush these things as well . External drains can be a variety of things , build up from the internal drains , tree rots collapsing the drain pipes , kids toys pushed down the gulleys . Kitchen sink drains is the build up of fat from cooking utensils , oil is also a bad substance blocker .
