Sam was excellent knew straight away what the issue was (a valve had failed) and replaced with no fuss. Arrived bang on time and pointed out other potential issues without any pressure to have the work completed. A breath of fresh air after trying to get this sorted out with several other plumbers. Sam was recommended by a friend and I shall be recommending him in the future. His lead time was short, he was very punctual and clearly knows what he is doing. Left everything in better shape than he found it (my builders hadn't sealed the toilet to the floor or wall, for example). Sam, was so helpful from our initial contact when we moved in, he came to service our heating which was a back boiler. Sam safely diagnosed a problem with our previous boiler which had to be turned off. He then prioritised us in his diary to fit a new one at the earliest opportunity so we weren't without water or heating for too long. He got a good price on the new boiler and fitted it quickly and efficiently, taking care to make sure the system was fully working as he completed the job. He was friendly and courteous and took care with the work that he did. I would certainly recommend him to others.

Sam 'rescued us' during this very busy December week by installing our gas cooker in time for Christmas day. He stepped up where many other local firms would not. He was exceptionally busy but found the time to fit us in so we would not be stranded without a cooker over Christmas. I rang at least ten local and not so local gas fitters or companies at least a week and a half before the cooker was needing to be fitted (this was all the notice we had ourselves that we needed a new cooker) and not one of them wanted to help. Sam took my call and promised to help. He kept us informed by text and email about the upcoming appointment. He turned up when he said he would (which was a miracle considering it was only a few days before 25th December). While he was working here he was clean, polite, efficient and professional. Sam checked over everything to make sure it was working properly before he left (because the gas and the boiler and water had naturally been turned off to do the work) and he emailed the paperwork over while he was still with us. We think he provided an excellent service and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

The engineer arrived exactly on time for all 3 days of the planned boiler replacement and conversion to combi type system. This involved removal of the old tank in the attic and airing cupboard as well as old unused pipework. Before commencing work the engineer covered all carpeted walk ways with a plastic protective film and cleaned all mess up before leaving each day. There were no leaks during the work or since the project has been completed. I am extremely happy with the work completed and my new boiler has been operating faultlessly so far for the last month. After nightmares with past plumbers Rubber duck is highly recommended.

Sam, on his first visit last year, left the boiler gleaming, including rinsing the magnetic filter, the results were noticeable to the extent we had to turn down the thermostats as the heat supplied was significantly better - top marks!

We’ve used Rubber Duck for several years now (having been badly let down by other Gas Engineers) and they never fail to impress.
