Because of changeable British weather turf can be laid at any time however sodden ground, snow and frost should be avoided. In late Autumn and Winter the grass will take longer to grow and not together so as long as it’s not used it will be fine. We lay artificial grass all year around

When to lay turf. Turf is best laid in mid-autumn, but can be laid any time between mid-autumn and late winter whenever the soil is not too wet or frosty. In spring and autumn little mowing is needed so newly-laid turf can be left relatively undisturbed for several weeks. Artificial grass you don’t have these problems
