After attending many Double Glazing v's Triple Glazing seminars over the years in my opinion the benefits of triple glazing are virtually zero. Yes they will offer you SLIGHTLY better energy efficient 'U' values but the uplift in cost you are paying will on average take you 15+ years (depending on the number of windows and floor area of your property) to actually get back on your energy bills. It has been shown that a triple glazing unit is only fully efficient if it is over a 56mm unit whereas Upvc windows are only really designed to take up to a 36mm unit so triple glazing can never be used effectively. You will get some industry people that will tell you triple glazing is better for noise reduction which isn't wholly true (i'll not bore you with the scientifics of this) however the much better option if this is what you want to achieve is to have a Double Glazed unit with what the industry calls Optiphonic glass which has an invisible film on it designed to reduce and break down sound waves.
