For a full rewire in basic fittings for example 3 double white sockets to a room and 1 light pendant and 1 switch would be looking at around £3800 to £4600, could be much more would.depend on installation requirements and the environment of the installation, for example if rooms have laminated flooring would be significantly longer to complete job

Very much a how longs a piece of string type question . In Berkshire for a basic property you would be looking in the region of 4-5k but if the specification was for chrome sockets and switches along with led recessed downlighters in every room you could be 8-10 k . Be careful if you are getting quotes that your contractors are all quoting for the same materials as a slight difference in fittings and consumer unit circuit protection for lesser quality can reduce costs but cost you to replace again in the long run

There are a lot of factors that will effect the price eg. How many reception rooms. What kind of accessories. Are there any shower, cooker, garage circuits. Where in the country you are. What kind of consumer unit you’ll need. As a very rough guide though, I would say somewhere in the region of £2,500-£3,500 in the North East.

We charge around £1000 + £50 per point. A larger 4/5 bedroomed house would also normally have garage, dining room, larger kitchen and bigger hallways so this usually mean more electrical items. £4000+ is a good guide price to consider but that can easily be hire if the spec is high.
