Air source heat pumps require servicing every year just like any appliance that is serving the domestic house LD, just like a boiler. Maintenance is always a good factor for any appliance. Maintaining the warranty of the appliance and guarantees to enable the issues to be repaired if faults occur.

ideally you will service your appliance every year, this will allow engineers to check the heat pump is running efficiently and catch potential issues before they happen, allowing longevity and accurate efficiency of your unit. it is a requirement under the Microgeneration certification scheme to ensure your rhi payments are received.

As with any appliance an air source heat pump should be serviced annually for a variety of reasons : - maintain the manufactures warranty - check the unit is running efficiently - avoid breakdowns and advise on parts that may require replacing in future - ensure the unit is running as quietly as possible Please ensure anyone you use to service your air source unit they should be qualified for this appliance type.
